SCADA Replacement / DMS Planning - MAGIC VALLEY ELECTRIC CO-OP
- SCADA Replacement & Additional Requirements:
- Replacement of Existing QEI Dual Redundant Master Servers w/ OpenVMS OS, Dual Operator Workstations, Terminal Servers, DNP3 Serial (Client & Server) Protocol to existing RTU's
- Attention to Comprehensive Security & Compliance with NERC/CIP
- Backhaul Communication Capability to include: Cellular; Frame Relay; Fiber; Licensed/Unlicensed RF; & MPLS
- Additions: DNP3 WAN/LAN (Client & Server) Protocol for new Distribution Automation (DA) Deployment; MultiSpeak Interface; Secure Web Server for Remote Access; & DMS Scalability for Future Phases
- Amato Consulting Support Services & Project Status -
- July 2012 - Work with SCADA staff to Inventory all SCADA existing Master Server related equipment, Software, & System Points. Also, identify additional desired technical requirements & capabilities for replacement system.
- Prepare detailed RFQ package to obtain system offerings that meet all requirements of owner as well as provide for "apples to apples" comparison
- Obtain list of qualified SCADA vendors and work with SCADA staff to short list invitees.
- Coordinate Vendor Interviews & Demonstrations.
- Arrange potential visits of existing deployments.
- August 2012 - Send RFQ packages for Responsive Vendor Bid Submittals.
- November 2012 - Perform detailed Bid Analysis with Existing Customer Interviews & Submit Recommendation
- January 2013 - Award to OSI after Owner's Board approval. Deployment Plan Sequenced & Contract Finalized
- February 2013 - OSI/MVEC Project Kickoff Meeting
