- SCADA & Communications Requirements:
- Control, Monitor, and Alarm Water Supply for 1.5 million gallon above ground Storage/Distribution Tank with 500 GPM Pump Filling Station in underground Vault
- Integrate Vault System Supply Pressure Switch, Pump, Control Valve, Flowmeter, and Tank Level Transmitter into locally mounted Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
- Remote Current & Historical Tank Levels, Pump Run Status, Flowmeter data, and Current Vault Temperature to Town Maintenance Facility
- Cell phone Alarm Notification of High & Low Tank Levels, Vault Hatch Entry, Low Pump Suction Pressure, Vault Low and High Temperature
- Amato Consulting Services & Project Status -
- SCADAPack LP PLC Firmware Upgrade
- Specifications for: Hatch Entry Switch; Flowmeter to provide 4-20 mAdc and Totalizer Output; and Vault Temperature Transmitter wired to PLC
- Paper and Physical Radio Path Studies for subsequent Design of 900 MHz Spread Spectrum Radio System to provide communications between Vault PLC and Maintenance Faciltiy Operator Interface (OI)
- Detailed Controls, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Communication Wiring & Installation Schematics
- Managed Electrical Contractor for installation and wiring of Controls, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Radio equipment
- PLC programming and testing for Pump & Valve Control, Monitoring, & Alarm & Data Outputs
- Specifications for Operator Interface to include: Dell PC with Windows XP Pro OS; ICONICS GENESIS 32 Graphics & Alarm packages; and Microsoft EXCEL & Outlook package in Maintenance facility
- Operator Interface Displays include: Overview with Live System Parameters; Tank Level Changeable Setpoint parameters; Alarm condition & acknowledgement
- Alarm notifications to cell phone and email
- Totalization and Tank Turnover status reports emailed
- July 2008 - Project Complete
- June 2012 - Completed Upgrade Project: Add 2nd Pump, Soft Starts, & alternating Pump Run Logic; Add 2nd Flow Meter & Flow Indicating Totalizer; Replaced Station Water Supply Pressure Switch with Pressure Transmitter; & PLC/OI Programming
